…and what you need to bring

A glamping holiday is still essentially a camping holiday so you will need to bring plenty of warm clothing for dining outside or roasting marshmallows on an open fire (hats and gloves, even thermals for very early and late season). Also clothes for wet weather. Mornings and evenings can be a bit chilly and as we all know some British summers can be more like mild winters! Good footwear is also essential.

We believe that all you need to bring with you is food and drink but to make the most of your stay we suggest you also bring the following:

  • bring sensible shoes i.e wellies, walking boots, trainers as these will be needed around the site
  • matches
  • torch is a must and spare batteries (don’t rely on your mobile phone torch)
  • ecofriendly toiletries
  • slippers /thick socks for wearing inside the tent
  • your own towels and robes
  • suncream
  • insect repellent
  • food, for cooking on the open fire pit or in the communal area

PLEASE NOTE: YOU WILL BE PUTTING YOUR LIFE SERIOUSLY AT RISK IF YOU BURN ANYTHING OTHER THAN WOOD IN A WOODBURNER INSTALLED IN A TENT. PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T BRING COAL, ANTHRACITE, CHARCOAL OR ANY OTHER FUEL FOR THE WOODBURNER – IT’S SIMILAR TO KEEPING WARM WITH A DISPOSABLE BARBEQUE (Please read this: Girl dies at Shropshire campsite – BBC News)
Although we install carbon monoxide detectors in the tents you are still responsible for your own well- being.

CARBON MONOXIDE KILLS.
